By using this Platform and our Services, you confirm that you have read and agree to the terms in this Statement.

  1. collectION OF personal information

    We collect information such as your contact information, payment details, reservation preferences, and communications you have with us.

    Setting up an account: When you set up an online account with us, we will collect your name, phone number, email address and password. An account is required to reserve a vehicle.

    Reserving a vehicle: In order to reserve a vehicle, we will collect your name, date of birth and driver’s license information, your responses to driving history questions, your address, as well as your payment information. We will also collect your reservation details, including the make and model of the vehicle, the pick up and return dates and times, and your selected dealer.

    Another driver: When reserving a vehicle, you have the option to add another driver to the reservation. In this case, we will collect similar information to what is described above. By providing this information, you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to ensure that the person about whom you have provided personal information is aware that you have done so, and they understand and accept how we use their information.

    Refer-a-friend: Our Platform provides you the option of referring a family member or friend. You can do so by email or via certain social media platforms. We will collect basic details, such as the referred name and email address. We collect this information to provide the refer-a-friend functionality. We will not use the person’s information further, unless they reach out to us directly.

    Communications: If you contact us, we will collect your information. We use this information to respond to your question or complaint. We may review chats and record calls to meet legal obligations, for quality control purposes, to enforce our legal rights, for training, or for similar purposes.

    Marketing: If you opt-in, we will use your name, email address and postal code to send you promotional emails that may be of interest to you. See “Your Choices” to learn how to opt-out of this service.

    Providing our Services:We collect and use your personal information for the overall provision, management and improvement of our Platform and the Services.

    Legal Rights and Compliance:We may use certain personal information to enforce our rights, to prevent fraud, or to otherwise meet our legal obligations.

  2. THE Platform

    Like many sites, this Platform uses cookies, etags, web beacons and other similar technologies to automatically collect certain technical data from your computer or mobile device.

    IP Addresses: We may collect your IP address when you visit the Platform to help us diagnose problems, for system administration, to report aggregated information to our business partners, and to audit the use of our Platform.

    Cookies & other similar technologies: We use cookies, scripts, pixel tags, web beacons and other similar technologies. Depending on the type of cookie or technology used, these tools may be necessary for the Platform to function, improve performance or assist us in recognizing you.     We may share your personal information with third parties as described below.

    Dealers: We share relevant personal information with the dealers you have selected in your reservation. The information we transfer includes your account information, reservation information and if applicable, the additional driver information. We must transfer this information to your dealer in order to prepare your reservation or to answer any questions about your reservation.

    Service Providers: We may use third party service providers to support us in providing this Platform and these Services. In certain circumstances, we may transfer the relevant information to third party service providers that assist us.

    Authorities: We share personal information with government, regulatory and law enforcement agencies to verify your driver’s license and ensure you meet our approved driver criteria or as otherwise required or permitted by law.

    We may also transfer or assign your personal information to third parties as a result of, or in connection with a sale, merger, consolidation, change in control, transfer of assets or bankruptcy.

  4. PROTECTION OF personal information

    The safety of your personal information is very important to us. We have security and access restrictions on the Platform to protect your information.

    If we use third party service providers to assist in us in data processing, we have contracts in place to safeguard your information.

    You are responsible for keeping your account username and password safe and secure. Do not share these with anyone. If there is an unauthorized use or any other breach of security involving your information, you must notify us as soon as possible. We are not responsible for any loss or damage if your account password is stolen or used inappropriately.

  5. Storage and retention

    Generally, your personal information will be stored in Canada. As part of our normal business operations, we may be required to transfer and store your information in the United States. As such, your personal information may be subject to the laws of the United States. Further, our third-party service providers may be located in the United States, in which case we have contracts in place to ensure that your personal information is protected.

    We keep and use information about you in our records for as long as it is needed for the purposes described above, or to otherwise meet our legal obligations, even if you are no longer a customer.
